Pilgrim Wednesday

Wednesdays, September through May

We gather on Wednesday evenings at 5:45pm for dinner and fellowship, followed by weekly activities from 6:30-7:30pm.

This year, we started the year looking at the baptismal promises we make and affirm in covenant with God. For the winter, we are digging into how we can put our faith into practice – digging deeper into these promises.

What are the baptismal promises?

During a worship service in which we follow the Evangelical Lutheran Worship (ELW) and hymnbook, we together profess the Apostle’s Creed. The pastor then asks,

You have made public profession of your faith. Do you intend to continue in the covenant God made with you in holy baptism:
to live among God’s faithful people,
to hear the word of God and share in the Lord’s supper,
to proclaim the good news of God in Christ through word and deed,
to serve all people, following the example of Jesus,
and to strive for justice and peace in all the earth?
